#111 Good Times
RE: “Where’s the art??”
I am well aware that it’s been an extremely long time since I’ve sent an update. I was in the midst of a developing story—which you will read about now—as well as the complete overhaul of my entire life. *laughs/cries simultaneously* I actually started writing this in July/August, but things kept happening and it felt easier to simply live my life rather than analyze it for documentation.
Thank you for your patience. To those of you who were decidedly not patient, thank you for being a ravenous fan.
Act 1 - New York
Ahead of my infamous Seattle trip, I had obviously forecasted the potential best and worst case outcomes. Best Case: my feelings would be reciprocated by Rotary Boo and we’d somehow live happily ever after. (LMAO) However, that would’ve also likely triggered the Worst Case: no more Goodtime Guy hookups. Well, everything happens for a reason and, as you already know, I got to continue having the Best Sex of My Life. Hooray!
Side Note: A few weeks ago, I was struck by a very random urge to surreptitiously check in on Rotary Boo. While he has zero social media presence, I was able to employ my superior sleuthing skills to discover that he apparently… Has. A. Girlfriend! Lolzzz. It’s also unclear if he ever went on that solo adventure he was dreaming about; assuming he didn’t, I actually feel turned off by his lack of follow through. Disclaimer: we are not in touch, so this is all 100% speculation on my part! In any case, I feel wholly indifferent about his relationship status and I wish him the best in life. Now, moving on…
After I returned to New York in May, Goodtime Guy and I began hanging out more frequently. While sex was still the main reason we got together, it was no longer the only reason. For the last year, I’ve felt incredibly lonely and disconnected, so it was really nice having someone I could count on to regularly spend time with. By the beginning of summer, I had privately decided that Goodtime Guy and I had officially graduated from “fuck buddies” to “friends with benefits.”
